Trip Summary
At the end of July in 2006 we spent 4 nights at Disneyland Paris.
This was our third trip to Disneyland Paris as a family and the fourth time for Fe and I.
We were extremely lucky with the weather as it was glorious with sunshine and temperatures in the high 20s every day.

We had a couple of interconnecting Castle Club rooms at the fabulous Disneyland Hotel which sits right over the entrance to the Disneyland Park. Click here for more information, photos and a video tour of the Disneyland Hotel and Castle Club on our site.
Staying in the Castle Club is always a thrill and a treat as you do get really pampered. On arrival we received a complimentary bottle of Taittinger champagne and a box of chocolates.
We had breakfast in the Castle Club Lounge every morning with visits to our table from Mickey, Chip and Dale. It's a cracking way to start the day and the lounge has excellent views of the Disneyland Park. And in the evening we had supper in the hotel's Inventions restaurant (click here for more information and photos of the Inventions restaurant on our site). We had visits to our table every night from loads of characters including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Tigger, Eeyore, Chip and Dale. This was the highlight everyday.
On this visit Josh was finally tall enough to go on most of the really big rides like Space Mountain Mission 2 and The Rock n' Roller Coaster for the first time. As soon as we got there Josh and I wasted no time and headed straight for Space Mountain Mission 2. He was either going to love it or totally freak out. Fortunately (for me) it was the former!
From then on it was all he really wanted to go on until Fe took him on The Rock n' Roller Coaster in the Studios. After this he was like a dog with two bones! I have to say that he was good (most of the time) and did let us take him on loads of other rides too. Needless to say that both kids were in their element and didn't want to come home.
Fe and I also managed to get to spend some time together alone thanks to a babysitter organised by the hotel. So, for 2 nights, Fe and I escaped from the kids and headed off to go on some rides together including Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril which Josh wasn't quite big enough to go on yet. We also watched the Wishes fireworks show from a balcony in the Castle Club lounge which has the best view in the park!
We all had a fantastic time even though we were split up for most of it - Josh with me and Ellie with Fe or vice versa but we took our walkie talkies so we could keep in touch and meet up from time to time.
